We have been horrified and deeply shocked by the terror campaign Hamas began this past weekend. Like many of you, we’ve been spending hours trying to figure out what we can do to help our loved ones in our homeland. OVS has always been a leader in our community in supporting and advocating for Israel and that remains true today. We would like to invite you to join us in helping Israel through the following opportunities:
Donate towards the JFGA Israel Relief Fund through OVS by going to orveshalom.org/donate and select Israel Relief Fund from the dropdown menu.
We’re having a Support for Israel Shabbat on October 20 – 21, 2023. Next Shabbat we’ll be saying extra prayers and learning more about the State and this current war.
On Friday night, we’ll gather at 6:00 pm for services and then having an Israeli Dinner. Proceeds from the meal will also be going to the JFGA Israel Relief Fund. Click here to register for the dinner.
On Saturday morning, both of us and our spouses will be sponsoring Kiddush following services and we want you and your family to be our guests as we include special prayers for our brothers and sisters in Israel.. Please click here to RSVP for Saturday morning servicesso we can plan Kiddush accordingly.
We’re working on numerous other opportunities for our community to learn about and support Israel in this hour of need and we’ll send you updates as they materialize.
We continue to pray for the wounded to be healed, the captives to return home, the deceased to be a blessing, the mourners to be comforted, and the State of Israel to be secure and thrive in peace.
